Multi-generational Alberta dairy farmer Tyler Henning shares how 76 years of family farm knowledge and careful animal care now face the heavy hand of the ProAction program.
Tyler details the dramatic increase in mandatory vaccines, drugs, paperwork, biosecurity rules, and costs imposed on farmers who previously maintained healthy herds with minimal interventions. He discusses the real-world effects on his cows, the extra burdens on family operations, and why these top-down rules threaten traditional farming practices and food quality.
This interview reveals the direct impact of regulatory overreach on the farmers who produce our dairy and why protecting farming freedom matters for natural health and informed choice.

NHPPA Talk Forum | Sydney Ross Singer | May 2026

Jul 23, 2026
1 hr 37 min
Medical anthropologist Sydney Ross Singer joins Shawn Buckley to examine how common cultural practices contribute to chronic illness.
Drawing on his background in biochemistry, anthropology, and medical training, Singer introduces the concept of “culturogenic” diseases — conditions driven by lifestyle and cultural norms rather than genetics. In this eye-opening discussion, they explore the health impacts of tight clothing and bras on lymphatic drainage and breast health, the problems with sleeping flat, the effects of restrictive shoes and socks, and other everyday habits that impair circulation and immunity.
Singer makes a powerful case for questioning practices that prioritize fashion and profit over human physiology. This episode challenges conventional medical thinking and offers practical steps for better health through informed lifestyle choices.

An opening address by Shawn Buckley delivered during the final morning of the NHPPA Health Charter Tour in Ottawa. Shawn reflects on the journey of the cross-Canada tour and the significance of presenting the Charter of Health Freedom and the third-largest paper petition in Canadian history to Parliament later that day. He explains how widespread chronic illness is driven by a combination of toxic food supply, environmental exposure, and systemic malnutrition, and how Health Canada has presided over declining nutrient density while restricting access to effective supplementation through law. Shawn contrasts the allopathic, symptom-focused drug model with holistic healing traditions that seek to resolve underlying illness, sharing stories from tour participants who recovered from conditions such as Crohn’s disease and rheumatoid arthritis through nutrition and natural health approaches. He argues that chemical pharmaceutical drugs taken as directed represent a leading cause of death in Canada, and that censorship prevents Canadians from learning about safer, more effective alternatives. Throughout the opening, Shawn emphasizes personal responsibility, citizen engagement, and collective action, describing the Health Charter Tour as the beginning of a broader movement to restore truthful health information, protect access to natural health products, and establish rational health policy focused on wellness rather than disease management. A short address by MP Blaine Calkins recorded during the Parliament Hill event of the Health Charter Tour, following the official handoff of the Charter of Health Freedom paper petitions by Shawn Buckley. MP Calkins accepts over 150,000 handwritten signatures, noting that additional petitions were still arriving by mail, bringing the total well beyond that number. He thanks volunteers and advocates across Canada for their sustained efforts to protect access to natural health products and reflects on his nearly two decades in Parliament, emphasizing that this issue has returned due to recent legislative changes. MP Calkins explains that Bill C-47 redefined natural health products without meaningful debate, prompting widespread public response. He describes drafting a private member’s bill to restore the previous definition of natural health products, drawing on personal experience as a regular user and highlighting the absurdity of regulating vitamins such as vitamin D in the same manner as chemotherapy drugs. He outlines the parliamentary process ahead, stresses the importance of continued public pressure across party lines in a minority Parliament, and commits to tabling and advancing the bill as a matter of common sense, affordability, and Canadians’ right to care for their own health. In this hard-hitting episode, Shawn Buckley asks the tough question: Bill 224 just passed second reading and moved essential nutrients and natural remedies out of the restrictive “therapeutic product” drug class — a rare victory — but will it actually protect our access, or is it another false hope? Drawing from a direct public comment that challenged whether Canada’s parliamentary system is still salvageable while childhood vaccine schedules continue and studies show unvaccinated children are healthier, Shawn examines Health Canada’s long history of bias against natural health products. From the rebellion that forced the 1998 Standing Committee recommendations, to the 2004 drug-style NHP Regulations, ongoing bureaucratic harassment, and the looming Self-Care Framework that threatens to eliminate most NHPs, the evidence is clear: actions speak louder than words. Shawn confronts the reality that many Canadians are already turning to black-market sources like Ivermectin, Fenbendazole, and unlicensed producers, and warns that we may have already crossed the line where legal access can no longer be taken for granted. This episode is a sobering call to understand the fight ahead and decide how we will protect our health freedom.
